1955

Jim Warne Jr., a WWII veteran and pioneer in the field of materials testing in the Southwest, built our first 180 sf building where he manually operated a 300,000-pound concrete compression machine.

1958

Our first employee, Paul E. Schabacker, volunteered to pick up a 3/4 ton International Harvester pickup truck then drove to Pittsburg where he picked up a "Penn-Drill" rig and on to Phoenix where drilling jobs were waiting. 

1959

Tucson office established as our territory grew.

1971

Established Northern Arizona unit in Flagstaff with the acqusition of Northern Arizona Testing Laboratories.

1975

New Phoenix office ground breaking led to the discovery of Hohokam artifacts still on display in the office lobby.

1979

San Juan Testing Laboratories Inc., Farmington New Mexico purchased as we continued to grow our company.

1980

Our Farmington office provided a myriad of services for the Power
Generating Station located in St. Johns, AZ. 

1980

Western Technologies celebrates their 25th
Anniversary and purchases Las Vegas Testing Laboratories Inc.

1984

The Albuquerque unit was established in May of 1984. One of their first projects was providing services for the University of New Mexico's (UNM) Science and Engineering Library. Extensive work with UNM continues today.

1986

This year found our Las Vegas office bustling with ongoing projects from the previous year along with new projects including the 21-story Lady Luck, Circus Circus and the 20-story Golden Nugget Casino.

1994

During a time when construction activity was more diverse in nature, Western Technologies worked on the Navajo Bridge at Marble Canyon near Page, AZ.

2000

Western Technologies opens our Salt Lake City office and begins providing our full line of services in Utah.

2002

Western Technologies begins working on casino resorts. 

2010

Western Technologies performs materials testing for the UDOT I-15 CORE project, the largest highway project in the state of Utah.

2013

Western Technologies provides all our services to this day for the 280 megawatt Solana concentrated solar generation station in Gila Bend, AZ.

2014

Western Technologies provided materials testing and inspection for the replacement of Runway 8-26 keel reconstruction for the center of the runway at Sky Harbor International Airport.

2015

Western Technologies celebrated 60 years of business with 400 Quality People employed in the US.

2021

We continue to serve the greater Southwest area, providing professional services on a variety of important projects including the Broadway curve in Phoenix.

Now

Western Technologies Inc & RMA Companies have joined forces and together now serve the southwest markets.
